Being a ‘virtualist’ in the Run Army event allows you to be of part of the world-wide movement of running and help fundraise for our Australian First Responders.

When entering the Virtual event, you can select one of three distances 2.4km, 5km or 10km, and are very welcome to walk or run or push a pram etc, anywhere on the planet.

We will mail you a shirt and a medal closer to the event and allocate $5 of your entry fee to your selected charity. The week prior to the Virtual Window opening on the 1 March 2027, we will email you a link with your digital race number and a code to upload your timed result from Strava, RidewithGPS or other timing software. The virtual window is Mon 1 March 2027 to Mon 26 April 2027. Then we allow you to 5.00pm on the Fri 30 April 2027 to upload your result.

Your timed result once uploaded will progressively update your position on the results ladder and be seen publicly.

The virtual event will be bigger than ever with runners and walkers across the world taking part. Secure your place today! You are most welcome to form a group or team, but Run Army does not endorse a course. You are solely responsible to pre-select a course where it is safe, and at a time when you are safe. We encourage you to not run on open roads or where hazards may occur. We also recommend you participate with your mobile phone in case of an emergency or requiring support.
