FAQ
How do I participate?
You may walk, run, hop, jump, run on a treadmill, or participate using self-propelling cycles like recumbent/handcycles, wheelchairs, or, push a pram or a wheelchairs, etc. We encourage and warmly welcome participation from kids, mums, dads, and those who may have some inability to normally participate.
A participant completes the event at their own pace, in one continuous session.
Entry Fees
This year, there is a small entry fee to cover the shirt and medal, and also portion of your fee goes straight to fundraising supporting those who serve.
Fundraising is a key outcome for this community activity, and you are welcome and invited to also help raise funds for the charities who support our front line service people. We will provide a fund-raising page and recognise your achievement.
The Virtual edition of Run Army will remain open until sold out.
Where can I participate?
You can participate at home in the lounge room, or like last year for many servicing members abroad at the Pyramids in Egypt or just down the road in the parklands.
Safety First
When you participate in the virtual edition of Run Army you must consider your own safety and your own wellbeing before starting. We are not in attendance, and we are not supervising your participation. You accept the entire responsibility for participation in accordance with our terms and conditions. We do recommend the following for your safety:
- Avoid participating on the roadway
- Avoid participating at night
- Do the event with a friend, a mate, or family member
- Make certain someone knows where you are going and when you will return
- Take extra care, carry water and always carry a mobile for emergency calls.
If you decide to participate in a gathering of other virtual participants, or at a satellite activity, you do so on the understanding that you are still responsible for your own wellbeing.
Virtual Scoring
Participating in your Virtual Event, and uploading your result can only occur between 15 March 2025 and 15 April 2025.
Submitting your virtual result is voluntary, and whilst our Virtual event is not officially scored and we will rank your result, but there is no prize for place getting. Timing can be done in a number of ways, but we recommend using a device with an industry recognised timing app such as Garmin, Starva, FitBit. There is an official judge for the Virtual Edition who together with the Race Director have sole jurisdiction without appeal to remove any result for any reason including fake information, false timing.

Shout Out
I just wanted to give a huge shout-out to my amazing sister, Hayley, who works tirelessly as a paramedic. Her dedication and compassion inspire me every day. I’m running a 10k race to raise money. Let’s cheer for Hayley and show our support!
