Legacy was founded on a Promise made to a dying soldier on a battlefield during WWI — to ‘look after the missus and kids’. Since then, Legacy has been supporting the families of veterans who gave their lives or health in service to this country. Legacy cares for those in need, believing that the loss or injury of a veteran due to their service should not lead to social and financial disadvantage to his or her family.

Queensland Police Legacy strives to ensure that no child of a Queensland Police family struck by the tragedy of the death of a parent fails to reach their potential in life due to lack of opportunity. Queensland Police Legacy does this by providing the financial resources to ensure that those children receive the education their parents originally intended for them, that they deserve and that they may have been deprived of.

The Queensland Fire Department, was established on 1 July 2024 under the Fire Services Act 1990 and reports to the Minister for Fire and Disaster Recovery.
Our purpose is to proactively address and manage the impacts of fire and emergencies on Queensland communities. We aim to enhance safety through modern fire and emergency services, and our vision is to achieve this through collaborative efforts.

The Fire Fighter Cancer Foundation
The Firefighters Cancer Foundation Australia (FCFA), was formally established in 2013, to primarily provide support and resources to all firefighters and their families stricken by occupational cancer.
A key focus of the FCFA is to drive education and awareness regarding occupational cancer, including the Presumptive Legislation scheme and minimising carcinogenic exposure to those engaged in structural, bush, aviation, mining and defence firefighting all over Australia.

STATE EMERGENCY SERVICE Queensland
SES is an emergency and rescue service dedicated to assisting the Queensland community. We are a volunteer-based emergency service organisation whose role is to prepare for and respond to emergencies across Queensland 24-hours a day, 7-days a week, 365-days a year.
‘We have around 5,000 volunteers operating across Queensland, through 76 units across 7 regions supported by 11 Regional Headquarters and a State Headquarters located in Brisbane.
Our volunteers bring with them a broad range of professions, skills, experience, and backgrounds all drawn together by a common purpose – to support our communities. We train and respond to emergencies together, and the experiences we share lay the foundations for life-long friendships.

SES gift fund
The Queensland State Emergency Service Gift Fund (SES Gift Fund) is a public fund granted Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status. With approximately 5,100 members, Queensland SES volunteers are trained and equipped to help their communities across a diverse range of functions during disasters and emergencies. Contributions to the SES Gift Fund help provide equipment and professional development (through a study bursary) to volunteers.

SURF LIFE SAVING QUEENSLAND
From humble beginnings, when the first official rescue was recorded on a Queensland beach in 1909, SLSQ, which was formally established in 1930, has developed into a ground-breaking and highly innovative organisation. SLSQ has 58 established surf lifesaving clubs with members patrolling 8,000 kilometres of the Queensland coastline from Port Douglas to Rainbow Bay. More than 34,000 Queenslanders are volunteer members of a surf lifesaving club and more than 462,000 are a member of an affiliated supporters club. Our vision: zero preventable deaths in Queensland public waters.

Surf Life Saving’s aim is to make Australia’s beaches safer by striving for zero preventable deaths in Australian waters.
Crucial funds raised through The Surf Life Saving Foundation allow our volunteers more time to focus on what they do best: saving lives in the surf. Today, the Foundation has grown into a national body with the mission to provide a sound financial base for Surf Life Saving both now and into the future.
